SpaceX to Cast Turbine Blades In-House to Power AI Data Centers

Musk aims for 100GW/year solar production capacity via SpaceX and Tesla but faces natural gas turbine supply constraints (blades/vanes sold out until 2030). SpaceX will in-house cast turbine blades to accelerate turbine deployment by up to 18 months, bridging the gap between chip purchases and usable compute. Morgan Stanley estimates Musk could access 3-4GW of bridge power by end-2027. SpaceX plans for 10GW+ Earth-based AI data center capacity by end-2027.
