Real-time interactive video becomes the focus of world model commercialization race
创业邦 · wechat · 2026-08-30
World model companies are pivoting toward real-time interactive video as a viable commercial direction, moving beyond static video generation. Three main technical approaches are competing:
- World Model Approach: Used by Decart, simulates a physical world internally to handle occlusion and motion logic accurately, but requires massive compute.
- Pixel Approach: Generates video frame-by-frame, offering high visual immersion but often lacking logical consistency (e.g., object persistence).
- Code Approach: Adopted by SigmaZAI, generates a time-based webpage/scene list, ensuring higher accuracy and lower costs, though visual quality is currently catching up.
On the business side, Decart is monetizing via AWS APIs for use cases like virtual try-on, while SigmaZAI targets product showcases and how-to guides with its platform Tap8. Capital is heavily betting on young founders in this space; Decart ($4B valuation, backed by Nvidia) and Vivix ($1.3B+ valuation) are leading the charge, aiming to deliver breakthrough applications before big tech fully commits.
