GLM-5.3's post-training leap: same 700B base, now near GPT-5.6 tier
haider1 · x · 2026-08-30
User benchmarks show Zhipu's GLM-5.3 keeps the same 700B base as 5.2, yet post-training alone brings it roughly into the GPT-5.6 Sol / Fable 5 range on Terminal-Bench 4.0. The 5.3 Flash variant is even more striking: 320B total / 18B active params, open-weight and far more practical to self-host. Context: Terminal-Bench 4.0 just dropped — benchmark iteration is catching up with model development.
