Sony and Warner Sue Anthropic and CEO Dario Amodei Over Mass Music Copyright Theft

Sony Music, Warner Music, and other publishers are suing Anthropic and CEO Dario Amodei personally, alleging the company used tens of thousands of copyrighted musical compositions to train Claude without permission — calling it "one of the largest and most blatant ongoing thefts of intellectual property in history."

The suit comes just months after Anthropic paid $1.5 billion to settle with book authors, opening yet another major copyright battle for the company.
