China's AgiBot unveiled its Expedition A3 humanoid robot performing martial arts moves like flying kicks and spins in a real-world setting.
- The company claims the footage is genuine, with no CGI or AI generation involved.
- The key achievement is dynamic stability: coordinating actuators for kicks, maintaining balance in the air, and ensuring recovery upon landing.
- These capabilities are essential for robots to operate in messy, unstructured environments beyond simple straight-line walking.
