Tencent releases Hy4 preview: 49B active params, 1M context, open source

Tencent has open-sourced the Hy4 preview, featuring 770B total parameters, 49B active parameters, and a 1M token context window. In internal blind tests involving 163 experts across 203 engineering tasks, it scored 2.99/4, outperforming GLM 5.3 (2.92) and Kimi K3 (2.94). Benchmarks place it on par with GLM 5.3. Pricing remains competitive at $0.834/M input, $2.501/M output, and $0.042/M for cache hits.
