In August 2026, Moderna and Merck announced their personalized mRNA cancer vaccine intismeran autogene succeeded in a Phase 3 melanoma trial of 1,100+ patients: with Keytruda it significantly improved recurrence-free survival and distant metastasis vs Keytruda alone. Not a cure, and not yet approved.
The poster notes an under-discussed connection: Moderna partnered with OpenAI in early 2023, deploying ChatGPT Enterprise across research, clinical development, manufacturing, legal and commercial. Within two months, 750 GPTs were created company-wide, 40% of weekly active users built GPTs, and average users had 120 ChatGPT conversations per week. Moderna also built Dose ID on ChatGPT Enterprise for clinical data review, analysis and dose selection — and the Phase 3 trial was initiated in July 2023.
