Investor Jason Calacanis suggests that Sam Altman's moves may have provoked Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang. After Altman secured a massive deal with Nvidia and then announced a partnership with AMD and plans for an in-house inference chip, Huang allegedly decided to go "all-in" on open source by acquiring Hugging Face and Poolside, reducing reliance on OpenAI.
