No Default Winner Anymore: Opus 5 Too Verbose, GLM and Kimi Win on Value
Yuchenj_UW · x · 2026-08-30
An X user shares model impressions: they barely use Claude Opus 5 anymore — it doesn't talk like a normal person (especially in Chinese), is way too verbose and rarely to the point, and they find GPT-5.6 Sol better. Meanwhile, OSS models like GLM-5.3, GLM-5.3-Flash, and Kimi K3 are pretty good and cost-efficient. Conclusion: there's no default winner anymore.
