lucasmeijer · x · 2026-08-30
A user testing Codex Mac App reported that when asking to "use subagents to fully implement implementationtaks.md" (using the recommended Ultra model), the system burned through 80% of its context window without writing much code. The user noted that while subagents were working, the main thread was not acting as "smart and frugal" as expected, triggering two autocompactions.
