Sony Music and Warner Chappell have filed a multi-billion dollar lawsuit against Anthropic, accusing it of “one of history’s biggest and most blatant ongoing intellectual property thefts.”

- Rewarding Lyric Reproduction: During Claude finetuning, reviewers selected outputs with accurate copyrighted lyrics, effectively rewarding verbatim recall.
