In-Context Learning Hints at a "GPT Moment" for Robotics
chris_j_paxton · x · 2026-08-29
Chris Paxton's blog argues that general-purpose robots require on-the-fly skill teaching to be economical, and in-context learning is making this feasible. Using demonstrations mixing video and proprioceptive information as prompts specifies problems better than language alone. Practices from companies like Generalist and Skild show that in-context learning with long-horizon video demos is starting to work effectively.
