Google's WikiSkill: Improving Agent Skill Evolution with Persistent Knowledge via Wiki

rohanpaul_ai · x · 2026-08-29

Google introduced WikiSkill, a framework designed to address scattered insights in agent skill evolution. WikiSkill splits the agent workspace into three layers: immutable execution traces, an active skill file, and a persistent wiki in between. The wiki records failure patterns and consolidated experience, allowing subsequent skill updates to build on accumulated knowledge. Experiments show WikiSkill consistently outperforms state-of-the-art methods, with evolved skills demonstrating strong transferability across models, enabling smaller models with skills to outperform larger ones without them.
