Google shared results of Gemini Co-Scientist collaborating across materials science, biology, and CS. The AI assistant successfully produced 3 atom-thin semiconductors on the first try, predicted 3 of 4 engineered E. coli growth metrics, and independently designed an AI system that provided safer medical answers, reducing serious fabricated results in AI-written papers from 90% to 4%.
