HYPH: Turn ComfyUI Workflows into Shareable, Monetizable Apps While Owning the Pipeline

paulhax · reddit · 2026-08-29

A developer with 2.5 years of ComfyUI experience (also teaching it at universities) showcases HYPH, a tool built on ComfyUI that packages workflows into small apps for people who won't touch Comfy directly, while keeping full pipeline ownership. You drop in a workflow, pick which inputs users see, define execution modes and per-execution earnings, then share it as a customized app from the same installer. It runs on BYO serverless endpoints (e.g. RunPod), provided endpoints, comfycloud's serverless beta, or locally/on-premise, and you decide what's shared from prompt to custom model. It's an Alpha Electron desktop app (Windows first) with installer, user management, RBAC, analytics and per-user limits; GDPR, legal and real-money flows are not done yet.

The author, not a software engineer, built it solo over a year with SOTA coding LLMs, spending all surplus income. They openly ask for feedback: what would make you try it, whether open-sourcing would build trust, and whether a 75/25 revenue share plus licensing for 1M+ revenue companies is fair.
