OpenAI announced plans to block Cursor users from accessing its models in three months. Cursor responded that OpenAI models currently account for only 5% of their traffic and stated they are in discussions with the OpenAI team to resolve the issue. Cursor emphasized their long-standing partnership and expectation of OpenAI as a neutral infrastructure. Sarah Hooker commented that this drives companies to realize the narrowing window to build their own intelligence.
