Anthropic launches MHS to standardize AI control over physical hardware

Anthropic has introduced the Model Hardware Standard (MHS), a unified interface for AI agents to control physical devices like robotic arms and lab instruments. Similar to the Model Context Protocol for software, MHS reduces hardware integration time from weeks to hours. However, tests show that Claude still struggles with physical cause-and-effect understanding, necessitating human oversight for now.
