Handroid is a desktop-scale robot developed by teams from UNC Chapel Hill and Stanford University. Featuring 27 degrees of freedom, it utilizes a unique morphology where finger joints double as humanoid limbs, and compact actuator modules are reassigned across fingers, arms, legs, and the base. It functions as a dexterous hand for manipulation and transforms into a small humanoid for locomotion, demonstrated by standing and performing pull-ups.
