Elon Musk testified under oath that xAI used OpenAI's models to train its own via distillation. Despite this, he expressed outrage when OpenAI cut off access to Cursor, a Musk-owned tool. The hypocrisy of copying a competitor's "homework" while complaining when access is revoked has drawn significant ridicule.
