I built open-jobs: 2M open jobs for Claude Code to search
OminousLatinWord · reddit · 2026-08-29
The author built open-jobs, an open-source toolchain with 2M jobs from 65k companies (CC0), designed for Claude Code. Users describe their ideal job, and the tool:
- Embeds the JD and downloads relevant job clusters.
- Builds a local search page with filters (location, salary, etc.).
- Re-ranks results based on user preference learning.
Technically, it uses Cloudflare Durable Objects to crawl 25 ATS systems and cheap embeddings for pre-ranking. The entire project was written with Claude Code, and the author found a job using it.
