Sharpa raises $630M for embodied AI
Embodied AI startup Sharpa, founded by Hesai CEO Li Yifan, disclosed over 4.5 billion RMB in funding. Li believes the robotics market will be 10 times that of autos but highly consolidated, potentially leaving only 5 major players. Sharpa's strategy focuses on mastering industrial scenarios first to accumulate real-world data before entering home markets.
ASIC shipments to surpass GPUs by 2028
Omdia forecasts AI ASIC shipments will reach 10.5 million units in 2028, exceeding GPU shipments of 10.1 million. However, due to significantly higher GPU prices, GPU revenue is expected to lead until 2032, though the gap will narrow starting in 2029.
