The author ran 12 hours of optimization tests for MiniMax H3 video generation on an RTX 5090, identifying two workflows:
Standard Mode:
- Stack: SageAttention2 + FirstBlockCache Safe + 20 steps.
- Result: 24.0–26.7% faster than SageAttention2 alone with no material quality loss.
Turbo Mode:
- Stack: Uses LightX2V adapters with 8 steps for FL2VA and 4 steps for Ref2VA.
- Result: 1.78–1.79× faster for FL2VA and 2.87× faster for Ref2VA.
- Trade-off: Turbo mode introduces quality concessions like motion blur and ghosting (SSIM as low as 0.656 for Ref2VA).
All generated clips retained exact dialogue transcripts. Turbo is recommended for jobs where time savings outweigh the loss in temporal detail.
