MiniMax optimizes prompt expansion latency to under 1.5s
isidentical · x · 2026-08-29
MiniMax engineers revealed that they have optimized the prompt expansion process, reducing latency from over 30 seconds to under 1.5 seconds. The feature is enabled by default as it is critical for generation quality in production, despite the latency overhead. Disabling it is intended only for experimental comparisons and is not recommended for production use.
