After mastering n8n automations, where do your first clients actually come from?
xtraai · reddit · 2026-08-29
A developer who can already build AI automation workflows with n8n asks Reddit for help: the bottleneck isn't building, it's getting paying customers. He has no budget for Facebook/Google ads, and finds that 90% of search results are people selling "AI automation agency" courses rather than practitioners who actually landed clients.
He wants to hear where people's first few clients realistically came from — cold outreach, referrals, Reddit, local businesses, agencies, networking — and if cold outreach worked, what was offered and how the pitch avoided sounding like every other AI agency.
