A Reddit user compared Minimax H3's FastH3 mode against a default 25-step ComfyUI workflow for video generation.
- FastH3 clips came from the official blog; the default workflow was bumped from 20 to 25 steps with SLA + Spectrum added
- On a 12GB VRAM / 32GB RAM machine, the default workflow averaged 7m30s per clip
- Used ref2va int8convrot, which the author suspects is lower quality than fl2va
- Full-resolution comparisons for ship, window, ogre, moon and woman clips are linked
Verdict: FastH3 looks good overall.
