Sam Altman predicts OpenAI may reach AGI this year, plans humanoid robot

In a TIME cover story by Alex Heath, Sam Altman predicted that OpenAI might achieve AGI by the end of this year. He also revealed upcoming projects: the next model, named Astra, is trained to use enterprise software like humans; OpenAI plans to build a humanoid robot; and the first device developed with Jony Ive will be a "table." Gary Marcus retweeted the report, questioning why people take Altman's statements at face value.
