Gemini Co-Scientist predicts living-cell behavior accurately
Dr_Singularity · x · 2026-08-29
Google's Gemini Co-Scientist achieved a breakthrough by predicting the collective swarming patterns of engineered E. coli at different IPTG concentrations using only sparse imaging data. Its predictions quantitatively matched wet-lab measurements that the system had apparently not seen before. Beyond this, Co-Scientist generated hypotheses, designed experiments, helped synthesize new materials, and autonomously discovered a medical AI architecture that outperformed multiple frontier models.
