NVIDIA's Parallel Decoding Distillation adopted by MiniMax for faster video gen

NVIDIA researcher Arash Vahdat noted that their Parallel Decoding Distillation (PDD) technique has already been independently implemented and used to accelerate MiniMax-H3 video generation, even before the official paper release or code open-sourcing.

PDD aims to significantly reduce the number of function evaluations (NFE) required for image and video generation (e.g., down to 4-8 steps) via distillation. An Alibaba team also demonstrated a similar implementation (MiniMax-H3 Acc LoRAs) utilizing PDD logic alongside FL2VA and Ref2VA workflows.
