Carson Farmer argues the most exciting thing about local models is intelligence becoming cheap enough that we stop deciding where it's worth applying and start attaching it to almost everything. You'd get millions of objects carrying their own context and intelligence — interrogable, combinable, operable without reconstructing meaning each time. He admits he has no idea what people will build once that's normal.
