Photoshop adds Markup feature: sketch edits alongside prompts for precise control

Adobe Photoshop has launched several new innovations focused on AI-assisted creativity:
- Instruct Edit with Masks: Powered by Firefly Image 5, this feature understands full image context. Users can describe precise edits (e.g., opening closed eyes, adding a hat) via simple prompts without needing perfect manual masking, protecting unmasked elements like logos.
- Markup: Allows users to draw directly on the image to visually communicate edits. Users can circle areas to recolor or sketch arrows to indicate movement, combining visual cues with prompts.
- Light Adjustment Layer: A new non-destructive layer offering professional-grade lighting controls (Exposure, Contrast, etc.) within the standard workflow.
A demo case showed complex image composition achieved with just three text lines and rough sketches.
