Vision Pro controller tracking: Pro controllers do world-space SLAM directly, key for teleop
Darpinian · x · 2026-08-28
Developer Darpin Gabe answers a question about Apple Vision Pro controller tracking accuracy: default controllers stack two error sources — SLAM on the headset plus IR tracking from headset to controllers. Pro controllers instead do world-space SLAM directly, with 3 cameras each versus 4 on the headset. He hasn't measured accuracy directly, but subjectively it works well for robot teleoperation.
