Dev spends $2 on domain for paid leaderboard bidbook, already grosses $372

Indie hacker ThePeterMick launched bidbook.lol — a paid-to-climb leaderboard modeled on outbid.lol: any site can pay to take a rank on the board and gets bumped by higher bidders. The page shows $372 spent since launch, with top spot altovia.app paying $49 for 26 clicks.

He jokes that he only spent $2 on the domain and hopes to make it back. Notably, he deliberately returned to a dead-simple PHP + jQuery stack, calling it a breath of fresh air — a classic indie hacker experiment of simple stack plus a viral pay-to-rank mechanic.
