Decide has announced the release of DAX-1, a flagship model post-trained specifically for spreadsheet editing.
Key Data:
- Cost: 97% cheaper to run than Anthropic’s Fable 5.
- Accuracy: Achieved 91.7% accuracy on their benchmark, compared to Fable 5’s 58.3%.
- Speed: 5× faster than Fable 5.
Strategic Shift:
Instead of relying solely on general-purpose frontier models, Decide will now train specialized models where it makes sense for their operations. This shift provides greater control over accuracy, speed, and cost, allowing them to build better products for businesses and professionals. DAX-1 marks the first step in this new direction.
