Replying to Yoav Goldberg's challenge about the advantages of emergent communication in multi-agent setups, the author argues that if all agents coordinate on a single task, you can directly compare with a single agent solving it, and points to the distributed AI / multi-agent systems literature for the conditions where multiagent wins.
