Princeton talk: AI shifts, not replaces, software engineering roles

Arvind Narayanan addressed AI anxieties in a talk to Princeton's incoming undergraduates, stating there is enough evidence to conclude that predictions of rapid, massive job loss were misplaced. In software engineering, AI has shifted the human role rather than replacing it, citing the "decide-execute-deliver" framework. He argued that panic over major choices is also misplaced.
