Google DeepMind, together with Schmidt Sciences, the Cooperative AI Foundation, ARIA, and Google.org, has announced a technical research funding call of up to $10M. The initiative targets the 'invisible' safety risks emerging when millions of AI agents interact across digital environments. Since current safety evaluations mostly analyze models in isolation, the funding aims to develop frameworks to predict, measure, and mitigate complex, emergent collective behaviors in large-scale multi-agent systems.
