An AI system built by Suchi Saria's team at Johns Hopkins now operates in over 40 US hospitals, detecting sepsis before doctors may even suspect it. CNN's Jake Tapper featured the technology this week as part of the network's "AI Friend or Foe" series. The poster also mentioned a personal favorite: the Merlin app, which identifies birds from their songs.
