Sub-60ms stereo depth inference on a 14g board

yacineMTB · x · 2026-08-28

A demo shows stereo depth inference running at sub-60ms latency on an Orange Pi Zero 3W, a board weighing just 14 grams (30mm x 65mm PCB). This was achieved by writing custom NPU kernels, eliminating the need for high-end GPUs like the 4090. It demonstrates the feasibility of running complex vision AI tasks on extremely low-cost, edge computing hardware.
