Alibaba's Qoder Hits 6M Users, Relaunches as Agent Workbench for Coders and Non-Coders Alike
智东西 · wechat · 2026-08-28
Alibaba has launched a new version of Qoder, an agent workbench centered on coding but built for everyone, not just developers. It offers a programming mode with free model selection for pros, and a general mode where non-technical users describe ideas in natural language; new additions include a desktop pet with real-time voice interaction, 40+ connectors, 70+ plugins, and a 20K+ skill library.\n\nIn hands-on testing by Zhidx, Qoder built a batch image-processing tool, a Mint-Health-style iOS app from a single-sentence prompt, and enterprise Pytest regression suites (101 auto-generated test cases with a full report), self-checking and iterating along the way. Qoder reached 100K users in 5 days and $100M revenue in 8 months, now with 6M+ total users and 100K+ enterprise users. Limited-time perks include daily Qwen credits for personal users and 50% off for enterprises before Sept 1.
