Stanford's Kundaje slams virtual cell "world model" as pure hype, no core claims demonstrated

Stanford professor Anshul Kundaje sharply criticized the recently hyped virtual cell "world model," calling it total bullshit hype. He argued the system is a stateful software platform orchestrating many predictors and generators, and demonstrates no jointly learned, coherent, causal or dynamic virtual-cell world model — none of the central claims are actually shown. He says he will write a more detailed piece on what it really is versus how it is portrayed.
