A US federal judge ruled that the Trump administration illegally designated AI startup Anthropic as a security risk and barred it from government work. The court found the government unlawfully retaliated against Anthropic for constitutionally protected expressive activities.
Anthropic was blacklisted after refusing to allow its technology to be used for mass surveillance of Americans or in autonomous lethal weapons. This is the first ruling in two lawsuits filed by Anthropic.
