Google's PPE Achieves Significant Gains in Epidemic and Food Security Prediction

Google detailed the performance of its Planetary Prediction Engine (PPE): achieving a Recall@10 of 83.3% for DRC outbreak prediction; a mean R² of 76.8% for US CDC health indicators (vs. 60.0% for manual pipelines); and doubling accuracy for Nigeria food security prediction (R² 66.1% vs. 31.5%).
