Google DeepMind Releases ORBIT++ Benchmark for SfM in 360° Video

Google DeepMind has released ORBIT++, a benchmark for Structure-from-Motion (SfM) using in-the-wild 360° video. The dataset leverages online panoramic 360° videos to construct challenging clips while enabling robust ground-truth trajectory recovery, addressing the lack of reliable benchmarks for complex camera motions or dynamic scenes. Experiments show that COLMAP and other recent SfM methods struggle to accurately estimate camera poses on this benchmark.
