Chollet: AI Acquires Skill, Not Intelligence

François Chollet argues that current AI exhibits superhuman skill, not intelligence. He defines intelligence as the efficiency of extracting and operationalizing patterns to achieve skill—a ratio of resources to capabilities. Humans will be left behind in capability but remain far more intelligent than current AI, which requires massive data volume to learn.
