Personal AI assistant Vellum has released fully open-source iOS and Android apps, connectable to both cloud and self-hosted assistants. The iOS version supports Live Activities, keeping a running session on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island.
Advertised features include conversational voice mode, 1-click integrations (Gmail, Slack, etc.), a model selector (said to work great with GLM 4.6 Flash), persistent memory across devices, and computer/browser use.
