Tech Giants Call for Gov-Funded AI Cyber Defenses in New Pact

OpenAI announced on its blog that it has joined a pact with Anthropic, Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Oracle, and Hugging Face. Among other things, the signatories are calling on governments to directly fund cyber defense efforts, specifically granting essential services access to "capable defensive AI" tools to bolster national security.
