Draft Trump EO Would Create AI Self-Regulatory Body; Progress Stalled

A scoop reports the Trump administration has circulated an executive order draft in recent weeks that would establish a self-regulatory organization (SRO) for AI companies, but progress on the EO has stalled.
Commenting on the report, Edouard Harris argues an incident with a big enough blast radius will eventually force regulators' hands—nearly guaranteed if the past decade's trendlines continue. His biggest question: how large that blast radius will ultimately be.
