Hugging Face Unveils $400 Open-Source Bipedal Robot 'Microduck'

Hugging Face has released 'Microduck,' an open-source bipedal robot standing 25 cm tall. It features 15 actuators and a suite of sensors (camera, LiDAR, NFC, etc.) and is designed for reinforcement learning training. The robot is playable out of the box with pre-trained policies for walking, sitting, roller-skating, and object manipulation. Priced under $400, it aims to make robotics research more accessible.
