CuspAI CEO Chad Edwards lands on TIME100AI list as startup raises $450M for AI materials discovery

CuspAI co-founder and CEO Chad Edwards has been named to the 2026 TIME100 AI list. The UK-based startup uses AI to accelerate new material discovery, recently identifying 20 promising molecules to remove 'forever chemicals' from water out of 300 trillion possibilities. In July, CuspAI raised $450 million from investors including Jeff Bezos and the UK's Sovereign AI Fund, reaching a $2.6 billion valuation. It also launched the AI Materials Foundry coalition with 48 partners like Nvidia and Meta.
