Google VP, quantum physicist and Vedanta swami co-author essay on consciousness

Blaise Agüera y Arcas — Google VP, CTO of Technology & Society — has co-authored a Noema Magazine essay, Consciousness Across Three Worldviews, with theoretical physicist Carlo Rovelli and Swami Sarvapriyananda of the Vedanta Society of New York.
The piece grew out of the Berggruen Institute's Future Humans gathering on consciousness in Venice in late August. The three thinkers — from Hindu Vedānta, computer science/AI, and quantum physics respectively — explore analogies between core concepts across their domains, framing the work as a partial but perhaps illuminating translation between vastly different worldviews rather than a unified theory. Agüera y Arcas's book What Is Intelligence? is due from MIT Press in September.
